APRR President Announcement
Posted over 4 years ago by Crystal Hopkins
Hello Advanced Practitioners and Happy Friday!
I am your newly elected President, Crystal Hopkins. I am so very proud to now be leading this awesome group of providers.
Just a little about me...I have been an active part of APRR since 2005. I was first introduced to this group by Dr. Patsy Riley. She has also been very active in this group and I thank her immensely for everything she has done thus far for us. I have held several leadership roles within the group to include: CEU coordinator (now known as VP of education), Treasurer, and representative to the Statewide Steering Committee for the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama. I have also worked on several committees within this group as well. I am a dually boarded certified nurse practitioner by the ANCC in Family Practice and Psychiatry/Mental Health.
My goal for this group is to continue to work on expanding the practice of Advanced Practitioners. We are highly skilled and educationally prepared to treat patients across the life span. We treat our patients with compassion and it shows in our outcomes. There are several studies that show our patient outcomes are similar, if not better, than physicians. We do great jobs and should be recognized for that.
As we navigate our care through the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to put our patients first and provide the excellent care that we have always provided. Our monthly meets have gone to virtual. We will try to reintroduce in-person meetings as allowed by these unprecedented times. We will not have a monthly meeting this month in January but we plan to resume in February 2021.
Thank you all for your support!
Crystal
